Either party may request a reconsideration of the Tribunal's decision by submitting an Application for Reconsideration with reasons to the Tribunal within 30 days of receiving the Tribunal's decision. A Reconsideration Hearing is a fresh hearing of your appeal. To apply for a Reconsideration hearing fill out the form called "Application for Reconsideration". You should state the reasons why you think the Tribunal should hear your appeal again. These application forms are available at the Social Benefits Tribunal. Contact your Client Service Representative for information on how to receive the form. The Application for Reconsideration is also available in electronic form for persons with special needs. Contact the Tribunal office for more information. To print a copy of the reconsideration form click here You must make an application within 30 days from the date you received the decision of the Tribunal. Within 60 days after the Tribunal receives your Application for Reconsideration, you will receive a letter telling you whether or not a Reconsideration hearing will be granted.
